It’s a communication device from the previous century. Note that the server has a slot for extracting data from slabs of polycarbonate that were also used in the previous century as a medium for supplying digital music files. It seems odd to think that you used to have to buy bits of plastic to access digital files, but it’s true. Apparently archeologists have uncovered devices for playing these plastic discs.
p.s. I’ve found one of said discs, inscribed with some form of ancient hieroglyph text.
Incidentally, the Bluesound BluOS software can see the Innous as a network device and add the stored music library, including the hieroglyphic stuff. Love the Bluesound software.
Teac makes some beautiful gear. When I was a kid, my dad bought a Teac cassette player to add to his stereo. It even had VU meters. I wish we still had it around.
Thanks! No room treatment - did need to move the speakers off the wall and insert the included bass port plugs to get rid of some boom i was getting earlier. Sounds good now.
I would love a P12 or P15…I just can’t support the cost at this time. The Furman Elite Pfi does use a huge compactor to take care of transients…so it seems to work and the background is dead silent.
Thanks alot! It was a fairly long journey changing things in and out to get the synergy that I wanted. I think I’m at a good stopping point for awhile.
Well researched purchases are rarely a let down and you have done a great job.I wish I could keep my stuff as neat as that but it’s not in my genetic makeup. Enjoy.
