I have a couple GIK Acoustics panels (US). They have some scatter plates that look interesting to combine with absorption. Not too much though.
You’re a lucky dog with the openings behind each Wilson…deeeep.

Great looking system. What tubes are you using in the Freya? Im looking to upgrade my stock tubes and would appreciate some suggestions.
Perhaps you could build a false wall (simple or even in the same style as your sideboard) with the option to open/close the opening for the TV
You sir, have a very nice system/location over there.
1950’s NOS RCA’s from Andy at Vintage Tube Services - highly recommend giving him a call. He can steer you to a tube with the sound you’re looking for and his pricing is better than anything you’ll find on Ebay. He’s also fanatical about testing each tube he stocks. I’d almost given up on tubes before finding him - either new or “NOS”, what I was getting was either noisy or short-lived. But the ones I have now sound amazing, are dead silent and have been running without issue after a year of daily use!
I love the cabinet, any idea where I may be able to find that one, or one just like it.
Nice set up and system.
Great. Thank you. Will check it out for sure.
I’m thinking you buy a cheap motorized screen that you can mount above the TV and have it drop a wool blanket instead of a screen.
Made a few fairly significant changes recently…figured I’d update pics and contribute to keeping my favorite thread going strong, great system pics posted lately🙂
Changes:
Concert Fidelity CF-80LSX2 (limited functionality but ridiculously good) replacing Don Sachs DS-2 with all the goodies
Magico A3 replacing Monitor G300’s
Just wired them in yesterday but sound real nice so far
System is looking great! I have been interested in the A3. Question what is the size of your room. My current room is relatively small so I was unsure if they would work.
This video from Acoustics Insider explains why speaker size and room size are not related, at least not in the way a lot of people assume.
24’x18’
Listening position 16’ and speakers are 91/2’ apart, 3’ off the back wall. They sit in a “nook” at the end of the room so sidewalks are close by necessity but the room opens to it’s full width just in front or the drivers. Cables are Clarus aqua but eyeing a change there
Also have a small window to deal with but do have a thick covering I put in place when I don’t crave the sun light, hey we take all the sun light we can get living in Buffalo🙂
Despite the room issues, I’ve had good luck “dialing in” speakers to the space to give me good results and the A3’s sound very good prior to any tweeting
Best,
-JP
@st50maint, who graciously gave me some feedback as he too runs the “little” Magico’s might have a different sized room?
Mine is from DWR (“line” series), but it’s a bit shallow for a lot of gear and not flexible in terms of cable management (I had to drill a bunch of holes in the back). This seems better designed for audio equipment (but haven’t seen one in real life):
Thank you very much for the great information.
I will do some research on the product. I do love the way it looks.
I adore that table. I’m on a Planar 3 at the moment, one day I’ll build up to the 10.
The arm alone is a thing of absolutely precise beauty.
Thanks for sharing. Good info.
Thanks for sharing. I subscribed to his YouTube channel.
well, funny story. RELs are going back.
I think I’ll stick with the MINX subs. (Need to get a second X301, tho.)
@RonP Looks very cute and small above the huge PASS amplifier! What speakers are you driving them with?
