Or throw a blanket over it?
fire hazard.
Really? Is that what you really think about monitor speakers?
Trust me when I say I have heard many monitor speakers with subs shut down expensive, large floor standing speakers. You’ve apparently never heard any monitor speakers properly set up and dialed in.
I don’t have that problem, fortunately. My point is that, if you have the means, video should be separate from audio for pure enjoyment’s sake. I can’t get lost in a recording with a glaring screen interrupting the process.
Some of us don’t have a choice but to have a dual purpose system.
With that being said, when I get into the music, I have my eyes closed and am concentrating on the music. I could care less if there’s a 65" TV on the wall or a 13,000 lb elephant. It’s a moot point when my eyes are closed.
But you’d probably smell the elephant, and I would find that quite distracting
Not true at all. I once owned a pair of Sonus Faber Extremas. They were wonderful for what they were, required large amplifiers(VTL 450 monoblocks) to sound right, heavy as hell, but ultimately fell short of what I liked at the time. --Great furnature as well!
Sorry
LOL! Very true!
Poor system synergy?
Love the system. Is that a DCS CD player?
Hey, we’re all trying to reach audio nirvana, and there are many ways to get there. 40 years ago, I experienced very small Visonic David speakers on stands with M&K subwoofers.
That changed my ideas about what good sound could be. I couldn’t afford the Infinity Quantum line sources in the same shop. So, I settled, and have been settling ever since.
Lots of PS Audio gear! Love it!
Love the Focals!
No, the Sonus Fabers sounded like toys, compared to my other speakers.
Yes @Rhythmatist the Focals are great and I just bought the Focal Clear headphones which are amazing as well.
Gorgeous Infinity RS3b. Amazing speakers but wow your investment in electronics goes far far above and beyond!
Focals are great!
He deserved a Christmas card though.
Love the VR-2s!
