How were you running Roon before, any sq difference ? Which Synology do you have ?
frode nice, tried manual install on my older Qnap TS869PRO, however there are lot of issues with 64/32bit libs compatibility etc 
ended up with manual docker installation or Roon on my HTPC (while music available via NFS from Qnap), had to fix lot of NW issues (my HTPC has considerable complex networking) and now it’s analysing audio data - it will do so for another few days apparently as my HTPC is quite old 1,6GHz Atom D330 CPU . Bad thing is that during audio analysis / library creation I am having dropouts (slow HTPC probably). I hope once the analysis is complete no more skips would occur.
Oh and as bridge is not yet Roon ready I’m still using Aries as Roon speaker via Roon’s RAAT (then Aries, JPlay USB cable, JB and Regen will be for sale once bridge will speak to Roonserver directly

Too early to tell any differences in SQ.
I have the Synology 713+ with DSM 6.0 onboard and a volume capacity of 2x500GB SSD.
