The World Marketplace and PS Audio Prices

So how will the current situation impact PS Audio’s prices? I believe I’ve read and heard Paul say a lot of the components are sourced from China.

Hard to say with all the craziness but no, there are not a lot of parts sourced from china. Most of the semiconductors we use are in stock (for now) at distributors in this country, and they are made mostly in Korea and Taiwan.

The Aspen speaker cabinets are made in China, and that’s going to be a real problem we’re trying now to figure out. Problem is there is simply nowhere in this country to go.

Once our inventory rolls down….

Sigh.

We’re getting ready to launch something really big next Friday at Axpona. We unveil it there at 10am. Fortunately, that’s all made in the US but that too will eventually become a problem because we live in a world economy whether we see it or not. This is a tax on us and at some point it’s really going to hurt everyone.

You folks will figure this out, Paul. You’re very smart, resourceful people.
What we’re all feeling is the resultant pain of letting ourselves rely on others for essentials that keep us alive, healthy and in business. People are shocked when they learn what essentials we rely on–pharmaceuticals for example–to be produced beyond our borders.
Hopefully we’ll steer back to being more of a manufacturing economy.
Can’t wait to see the new product at Axpona!

We are inviting anyone and everyone including the press. No early birds! But be there for the 10AM unveiling and we will be videoing it for YouTube for those that miss it or cannot squeeze into the room. Going to be crowded, that’s for sure.

Can’t wait.

Spread the word.

My bet is on the TSS finally coming out. Ted has been a little too quiet as of late!

I’m going to watch on YouTube  :+1:
Flying in from Holland is budget- and time-wise a bit of a stretch

My money is on the solid state perfectwave preamp that is replacing the BHK preamp. The perfectwave phono preamp is a strong possibility also.

My hope is a new disc player for the Stellar series. Streaming is nice but I still love my CD’s.

I think it will be a subwoofer.

I vote for a new range of regenerators, probably class D based with switch mode power supplies.

I think it will be a Quantum Physics Music Metabolizer.

It will be a car that runs on the hot air generated by most politicians.

PSaudio is going to reveal something big, unexpected and American made: Let’s think out of the box: Octave Records recorded the new Metallica album

Except for the obvious laughers, these are all legitimate speculations.
The theremin has gotten a lot of exposure on TV lately. I want one of those.
