Sounds like the Venom V14 with a C7 IEC connector under accessories on the Shunyata website. The polarized version with the square end might not go into a Mac. And the C5 would be Mickey Mouse.
As he says, check out the MINI POWER ADAPTERS on the shunyata website. There are 2-3 of these. Select the one you need.
Best regards
This may be my choice for best sound at the show. My only issue is that the time I listened Edgar was only playing Dolby Atmos and surround clips. I bet it kills with music!
Sounds like the ultimate near-field set up! Did Edgar mention anything about expected pricing and/or availability?
Awhile ago, I recall him saying one of the directions they wanted to explore was including BACCH technology into car entertainment systems. I think Tesla was one of the companies expressing interest. By chance, did he say anything about any of this?
May be just me, but when I first saw the picture in your post, I thought it was (PS Audio) Paul.
The complete system is $20k according to Edgar.
$6k less if you already have a Bacch4Mac setup you can use.
I tried four times to listen to that system, every time there were three other people seated, presumably they were “next”. Several other people would come and go, probably not understanding what was going on. After standing there for 10-15 minutes each time and no change in the person seated at the table I gave up. Bacch … baaaa
That’s too bad it’s good
I’m now officially a part-time Bacch family member. @aangen installed his Bacch4mac in my system last week prior to Axpona and I’m enjoying what I hear.
Be careful - “the first one is always free”.
A friend of mine has his BACCH-SP adio listed for sale for $19,500.

He decided to go a different route, a Grimm MU1 with Grimm LS1be speakers. I bought my adio used myself, got it for a little less than that. Mine is/was an early model that required an update to the current design. His is up to date. Someone could save $6k buying his.
After installing the B4M to Paul’s system I was stunned at the results. With his Martin Logan CLX speakers and his excellent room I felt like I was hearing better sound than I get at my house. On my next visit I want to bring my adio with to see just how good his system can sound. The B4M stepped it up very nicely. Incredible actually.
The B4M does an excellent job. But the adio moves solidly into “Oh my God!” territory.
Maybe we should bring the apex and commander.
I would have “liked” this post twice, if it were possible.
LOL.
Al - you have several DACs (some embedded in other devices) including: Grimm MU2, BACCH ADIO, Gryphon Ethos, DS Jr. and Eversolo A6 (and I’m probably forgetting others). How would you rank them using whatever criteria is most important to you?
BACCH-SP adio first, Grimm MU2 and Gryphon Ethos tied for second, PS Audio DSD Jr. third, Eversolo DMP-A6 fourth. If I still had the Molo Mola Tambaqui it would tie for second as well. But the adio DAC is tip top.
I was just using the MU2 DAC for a few months and it is really, really nice. But once I switched back to the adio I stayed there. I can use the Ethos as a DAC but the I can’t listen to CDs through the BACCH. The Ethos can either play CDs or play another input, not both when feeding the BACCH. Right now the balanced outputs of the Ethos feed the BACCH. So I am using it’s DAC on the way into the BACCH.
I have two friends that own a BACCH-SP adio who have never tried its DAC. Odd. But they have DACs they think they prefer, even without trying the adio DAC. I will try to force them to try it.
Thanks Al - pretty much what I expected. Hypothetically, if you used the ADIO DAC without BACCH processing (why? I have no idea), do you think you’d still have the ADIO DAC rated #1?
Absolutely!
I’m using @aangen Bacch4mac. Not sure what version of Bacch4mac it does have ORC. I’m super impressed so far. I found this Cd at Goodwill Via Amazon.
Track 6 Sweet Emotion Aerosmith cover is very demo worthy. I played it on my CD player last night and it’s great! I then streamed it to the Bacch and I’m like oh my goodness what just happened!?
Talk of this magic device seems to have tapered off and I don’t know why. Price? Could be. Blasphemy? Maybe. The Bacch solves so many issues that many throw lots of money at trying to fix and takes care of other stuff I never realized was an issue.
I hate this forum… or should I say my wallet does.
Vern aka @Baldy may be the smartest person who was on this forum.
