I’ve had that same experience visiting Edgar. In addition to being incredibly talented, he is a real gentleman. It was a privilege to get to know him.

Movie about a sad part of Australian history!
Worth watching.
I’ve never seen it, but when it was released I was interested in watching it in large part because Peter Gabriel composed the soundtrack. The film never made it to either of our local movie theaters, at least not when it was first released.

If that photo was taken at ear height from your seating position, the toe-in looks correct, but the back-tilt has been set far too steeply backward, putting you well below the sweet spot height. The BACCH ORC will be thus straining to compensate for being outside the 5° vertical dispersion window.
If you’d not been aware, the footers are adjustable by screwing their outer barrels in and out. Proper back-tilt can be achieved hanging a mirror by tape or string from the top of the speaker, so it is situated about 4" from the bottom of the rectangular grill. You will see your ear in the reflection when toe-in and back-tilt are correct.
Thanks, but you are going to have to accept that I have them setup correctly. Edgar told me himself that with these speakers, even if you have them setup poorly, ORC will take care of it. I set mine up with a laser. The center of each speaker points directly to each ear in my preferred seating position. The Electrostat panels are in the center. The top panels angle up a bit, the bottom panels down a bit. I aimed for the center.

Actually, the center is not what should be pointing to your ears. I only very recently explained to Edgar the arrangement of panels in the speaker. Neither of the two panels is aimed directly outward, They are canted around a lateral axis to increase the vertical dispersion. I developed the mirror trick to help with getting the correct angle, since it is non-intuitive.
But still, Edgar says ORC takes care if it.
I am curious. How do you suggest I properly orient the speakers?

Hello, as it seems you have experience with the bacch4mac and also the bacch SP, which do you prefer and why? The better interface and independence off the Apple Mac are for me obvious advantages. Are there sonically differences? I ask this because I’m for a long time thinking to upgrade to the bacch SP from the Bacch4Mac.

When you are enjoying the sound of a Bacch4Mac setup you believe it can’t get any better. When you hear a BACCH-SP adio you realize it can get better. Possible reasons, the power supplies, system clock, the complex PC board that handles the Inputs and outputs, and the wonderful DAC inside. As a bonus there are fewer cables and devices to deal with.
Downsides, all new code is written for B4M first, as there are 100 times more Bacch4Mac setups sold versus BACCH-SP units. The code eventually gets to the BACCH-SP machines. But six to nine months later. Another benefit of the B4M is you are free to install anything you like on your B4M mini. You cannot install anything on a BACCH-SP. Only Edgar can and he does not seem interested.
Also, the BACCH-SP iPad controller is very nice. It is broken down to many pages in a very logical way.
More than a few people on this forum have upgraded from B4M to BACCH-SP. As far as I am aware, all seem happy.
The added inputs and outputs allow you to connect pretty much anything you have.
I prefer having both. I once had both in my main system. I could easily switch between them. The difference in sound is not huge, but it’s there. (To my ears…)
