Good grief. I was encouraged to buy an IR camera that doesn’t work as an IR camera. Sheesh. Good thing I bought the additional IR light source for the cam that doesn’t work as an IR camera. The fact that it doesn’t work with my model is actually amusing.
A new low that now overshadows my purchase of the Synergistic Research Tower That Does Nothing.
I am going back to the BOSE forum. 
When we talk about music and girls he is very responsive. When I ask about software releases for the adio he normally doesn’t respond. We have a fun time Edgar and I. I feel blessed by this.
Just don’t try and convince him an audiophile Cable influenced how much better his equipment sounds. That is no more appreciated than software questions.
I wonder how much it would cost to ship that thing to my house so I can confirm it does nothing? Might be fun…
I just wouldn’t want it to block my view of the TV screen. My system does double (HT/Stereo) duty.

Edgar just told me when I have my MK2 BACCH-SP adio upgraded to the MK3 version (larger processor) this useless IR cam will work fine. Golly.
Might be cheaper than buying a Bacch4 mac for it. Then maybe not. Is it a processor card you can swap or send it in?
The entire unit gets sent to the factory and unspecified parts get installed. I will be without my adio for a couple of weeks. Yikes!
Apparently at this moment the BACCH4MAC has advantages over my model. After the upgrade…
It must be porting the DSP13 over. Probably worth it since software is less operations Me I get to throw out a mini versus send it in. . But I will say this version seems more holographic
The problem with the current version of the BACCH-SP is the processor is running at its limit. No software upgrades are possible with this limitation. The MK3 version, with a new, more current processor allows new possibilities that are already in production. With the upgrade the software functions in my unit will be brought to the new level.
The reason the Mac version is currently ahead is because the Mac was upgraded to a better processor. As time marches on, new and improved Macs are released. My unit is locked in time until it gets upgraded.
I am told when I have the MK3 it will leave the current BACCH4MAC version in the dust.

So rather than “useless”, think of the IR camera as the first step in your MK3 upgrade!

Cambridge is in the UK. MIT and Harvard are in Cambridge. The Space Studies Institute is at Princeton in New Jersey.
One of those Ivy league schools then.

Tech is not really an Ivy League school. But that’s okay; we’re better than Ivy League.
