Thoughts on M.2 vs Sata SSD for music storage

I’m planning a music server build, and storage options include M.2 and SATA SSD options.

Any thoughts on which is preferable in terms of jitter and noise performance? General sound quality?

Consider a Melco music server, or wait for the PS Audio music server. I have a Melco N1A with HDD, Melco also has music server with SDD.

Thanks, but the plan is for I2S output via HDMI for the DS, and the Melcros don’t appear to offer this. I’ll go through the Compatible I2S thread to see if anything is mentioned there.
