Good.

They’ll stop making these stupid EVs until they figure out a safe way of making and disposing of those highly toxic and dangerous batteries.

Of course, that will never happen.

But we can hope.

On the topic of EV batteries, a neighbor bought one of the first generation Prius when they first came out in 2000.

It is still going strong with at over 200,000 miles, original batteries.

A noble idea, except without the impetus of some disasters it will just be a good idea and not seriously pursued. One of the common human failings is to not fix a known problem until it becomes imperative.

I think a great deal of Ev owners assume there’s a robust battery recycling industry which is not remotely the reality.

The birth to death process of EV batteries is a horrifying story.

Well of course… It’s a Toyota. They make sure things are done correctly and built to last.

Just like my old 2001 Lexus LS430. Twin cam, 32 valve V8, and 230,000+ miles on it. Still runs like new, and I sometimes drive it like I stole it. It never complains.

That’s the Toyota way.

Yup, just like a really dangerous intersection with no traffic lights. They won’t install traffic lights there until so many people get killed in said intersection. So stupid.

What’s that old saying? Ah yes… Ignorance is bliss.

Exactly, in so many ways.

Then there’s these links to a bunch of publications which I’m sure are getting some form of a kickback from the automotive manufacturers, so take what they say with a grain of salt, or an entire jar of salt.

A more correct comparison would be the delayed red light of traffic lights. For many years when a light turned red the opposing light immediately turned green. Now the opposing light is delayed by several seconds to reduce accidents from red light runners. No need to be so nasty …

Yep

Sorry to derail the “EVs are EVIL” thread, but here’s a picture of a car. And a bike.

EV or ICE???

Starting Price: $3.5 million

A Tesla Model S battery pack with 4416 cells held together with strong glue! Not so easy to break down. New battery cells and packs need new designs so we can reuse cells without needing to break them back down into their elements. Lots of work and progress is being made. But will take a while. In the meantime, former Prius and Tesla battery packs can be redeployed as storage for home or office solar cell arrays.

Speak for yourself bud.

Yeah, total fires are ICE vehicles because there are tons and tons more of them on the road than stupid EVs.

Yep… I call it as I see it.

You live in a house of mirrors apparently. LOL

Not for long… Norway has almost 90% EV’s. UK no ICE vehicles to be sold by 2030. California and other states to follow in 2035.

Yeah, we’ll see. If anything, just means people will be buying more used vehicles instead of EVs, which is exactly what’s been happening for the past few years already.

And as simple as that, on the ignore list. :sunglasses:
