I re-did the trim on my 2011 BMW M3 to stitched carbon leather from brushed stainless. So much better…
After getting the roadster shipped from Cali, only fitting our first cruise should be to Inn & Out Burger in Peoria, Az.
after a week or so of riding, slid right back into the 2020 Z4 memories. There is only one thing I don’t like is the cup holder location. I know the BMW engineer said F everyone on cup holders and put it in a place that is dumber than dirt.
So, I had to improvise. I got a one cup holder with a lot of small suction cups and added a dual cupholder to that. It attaches to the console. Now we can have a coffee and tea in our AMG mugs - F that BMW engineer. AMG interiors are so much better than BMW; however, like this little roadster and in spring they are not making any more. So they say.

they are super cool, and not hard to use at all. Probably a youtube video if you run into problems 
@christophervalle It’s leather that has been embossed with a carbon fiber weave pattern that in this case is decoratively top-stitched and applied to various trim pieces. You can look it up on teh google machine…

I have spent way too much money on way too much real carbon fiber for the Ducati.
I guess I’m surprised food / drink is allowed in cars at this level.
I have no interest in eating or drinking while driving. Thus, I have never used a cup holder.
On another topic, I rarely change the temperature in the car. I set it and forget it. The car automatically cools or heats as necessary. Others fiddle with the temperature control constantly.
We all have our quirks.
Does your Z06 have a cup holder that actually holds a cup?
I doubt it. At least not when the car is moving.
