Looks like a body by Bertone.
Iām an old guy too but I will still stick with the C8 Vette.
Itās a Lancia. The model is Aurelia. Back then Lanciaās production quality was jewel-like.
Indeed. I admired Lancias and saw a few in the flesh when I lived in Africa.
Ive never seen any model Lancia that I can remember. Is the vintage early '60ās?
The full name is Lancia Aurelia B24 Spyder. Made from 1950 to the late 50ās.
Designed by Pininfarina, although I think the coupes and sedans were by Ghia.
If you want one, theyāve been getting around $2,000,000 AND NOT A SINGLE CUPHOLDER.
This particular car is a 1955.
THANKS I couldnāt remember where I got the picture. This one was bid up to one million but it didnāt meet the reserve, if I remember right.
I find the demand for cupholders amusing.
0 to 60 in less than three seconds and you require that it also hold a cup of coffee?
If I want something to drink, I stop the car.
Humor, Elk
BTW----I heard the C8 comes with beeswax fuses. But donāt hold me to that.
Of course.
I separately find cupholders silly. Thus my observation.
In my opinion, most people are terrible drivers. And cupholder held beverages, cell phones and stereos just make things far worse.
As Homer would say - Like WOW man. That group of buyers is way out of my league.
I think the cars should have a device that prevents cellular communication once the ignition is turned on.
I had a some great fun racing at Laguna Seca this weekend racing a bunch of modern Porsche race cars with my old air-cooled 911:
Racing or HPDE?
Racingā¦did you look at the video?
No, I have seen way too many in car videos, including my own.
What class pits old air-cooled Porsches against their modern brethren?
Itās called multi-class racingā¦and it is both frustrating and fun!
The rear axle of the 993 is pretty modern
