YouTube is a source of many wonderful live performances. I wish they would release high quality audio for many of these. While braving through the compression, what are you watching? This is from a wonderful duo called Mandolin Orange. Great song writing, and that mandolin, though!

Good overview… and now I want a set of those super dark matte finish DWs - they looked fantastic.

Yes they do! Always enjoy the new finishes they create. Here’s an old photo of my kit. Gray Birdseye with Brass hardware. [image]

You have a fantastic looking set as well. I like the brass on your finish. I have a Designer Series in Tobacco Burst at the moment, but have the itch to upgrade. [image]

For Beatle fans - Sean Lennon interviewing Paul McCartney about his dad. Nice. [Sean Lennon interviews Paul McCartney | October 4, 2020.]

[eTown Finale with Bill Frisell & Sam Amidon - I’ll Fly Away (eTown webisode #987)] Feel free to sing along! Miss being able to go see these shows being taped. Nick is such a good guy, and a right decent git-tar player. If the above doesn’t lead you back to the page, there’s a bunch …

I have Rod Stewart’s version…I like this better…just heard it today… [Rod Stewart "Gasoline Alley" (Larkin Poe Cover)]

This was an unexpected pleasure…a tad bit long, but not by much… Joshua Bell and Anoushka Shankar [Anoushka Sankar & Joshua Bell]

The Milk Carton Kids interview Mandolin Orange and play Wildfire with them, beautifully (at 17:30) [Episode 17 - Mandolin Orange - Wildfire]

A quarter century ago (!). Didn’t realize they had ever played together. Bill Frisell, Charlie Haden, and The Drummer Who Shall Not Be Named. [Ginger Baker Trio - Charlie Haden - Bill Frisell / live 1995]
