“It’s like living in the '80s all over again. With added plaguiness”.

(A classic cut from a Crass Records compilation  )

IMHO by far the best ‘Imagine’ (Lennon) interpretation ever heard.
From Cindy’s new album “Give The Drummer Some”, which will drop on September 18, 2020. The record features Carlos Santana (on 8 tracks), John McLaughlin (on 2 tracks), Kirk Hammett (1 track), Vernon Reid (3 tracks) with multiple tracks Produced by Narada Michael Walden, Cindy Blackman Santana & Carlos Santana.

Well, if you ask:

What started it all in 1939, the main theme we know of today, Soloman just spontaneously riffs at 2:22.

Leave it to Pete Seeger to misinterpret the words “Yuimbube” so the Western world is stuck with meaningless syllables since 1952.

Although he died a poor man not earning any royalties, Soloman was very happy that millions enjoyed the song. (The family sued Disney and reached an agreement, so they’re financially secure now.)

A diversion but I was thinking of how we listen to music while bending my mind

My wife and I have enjoy Jamal’s reaction to ‘mostly’ classic rock tunes for some time now.
