Agreed. He seems to be a little more grounded than many of the interweb stereo reviewers.
I like him too, and even his taste in music. I’m moved by the mineral water analogy. A big company like Pellegrino (or say Guinness) does care that one batch tastes exactly like the next. The customer expects it to taste a specific way. They are excellent Chemists, etc.
How can we say things have improved or are identical without metrics? Professionally, I have been a Change Management Engineer, so you can guess where this line of thinking comes from.
Wouldn’t it be wild if John Paul Jones came in unannounced at a Tedeschi Trucks concert? I might have an organism.

Just watched the DC interview.
Good stuff.
When I want the feeling of awe: Two Steps From Hell - 25 Tracks Best of All Time | Most Powerful Epic Music Mix [Part 1] - YouTube
I downloaded the free sampler and listened once through late yesterday evening.
On first listen, I was not particularly impressed by the recording technique/presentation. I did not perceive it as poor, just nothing special.
I will give it some more time at a later date.
Curious as to whether anyone else has listened to this release or any of the other releases on the new Chesky label, The Audiophile Society…?
