This has held my attention for hours. They recently played or will soon play a concert in my little town but the thought of sharing a room with them and the normal sods who “go see live shows” makes me wince in horror.

Qobuz, CD. Posted earlier by @dcm. A very pleasant album. I would agree with Dave that the violin tone is attractive. This is interesting because Minasi is normally supposed to play using period instruments, which I generally find have a slight harshness. No such harshness on this recording.

@chrisj1948 Do you think the slight harshness you describe is due to construction differences between period and modern instruments or the fact the Baroque tuning for A is 415Hz while modern tuning is 440Hz, or maybe both?
