What are you spinning now? Mark 12

A Google search proved fruitless in terms of answering your question. But I did find this which was a new word I learned.

Band name[edit]

The name of the trio is a form of word play called “al vesre” that is very common in Lunfardo, an argot of Rioplatense Spanish. This wordplay involves, in the simplest cases, moving the last syllable to the beginning of the word (“vesre” itself is “revés” – the Spanish word for “reverse” – with the second syllable in first). Thus, the word Tango becomes Gotan , the name the trio have chosen for their project .

This album, the one with sales that were disappointing enough to make Richie Furay call it quits, may be the best-recorded of the band’s early work - not the least bit flat and two-dimensional, but with real body, separation of instruments and voices, and genuine bass. Originally produced by Jack Richardson, recorded by Brian Christian, and mastered by Doug Sax.
