54 years ago NOW, approximately, Led Zeppelin were finishing their performance at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Md, a mere 45 minutes from where I live, in support of The Who as they began touring Tommy in the US for the first time.
This marked only the second live performance of Whole Lotta Love, and would be the only time these bands would perform on the same bill.
