I know I’m posting a lot - I realized I had mostly stopped listening to music,as I often do when stressed, so am playing music almost non stop whenever I am awake, which with my crap sleep patterns can be at any time.
A lot of the time I am selecting by random “spin of the wheel”
Of course being British we couldn’t be trusted with her surname (an upbringing of Carry On movies leaves a permanent mark nudge nudge!) So my copy looks different:
Hugely popular in Denmark I hear, but didn’t make a mark in the UK so now based back in Denmark, which is a shame.
Her stuff with zero 7 was very nice too, along with Sia Furler’s zero 7 tunes, and the latter is now huge in USA songwriting scene.
I have a video of Z7’s 2004 Glastonbury appearance with the both of them, most excellent
Currently in a cardboard case, I’ll probably post some pics if it ever makes it into a metal case
Along with the 5 core low voltage power cable my wife Liz kindly plaited for me earlier
Loudness Wars & Distortion. Shame really. Little Wing, Layla, and Bell Bottom Blues aren’t too badly “Remastered”. But tracks with a lot going on sound atrocious. I2S helps a bit, but Ted Smith’s DAC can’t save this Audio Atrocity. Because the music is so good on this album, I tend to forgive the Sound Quality problems
Unqualified to judge the players but the music is just so good I’ve had it on for nearly 90 minutes and it never lets up. I am usually more of a fan of the cello works BWV 1007-1012 so this is stepping out a bit for me. Glad I found it
I thought about no longer posting. My presence may have run its course. I’m still posting because it is a wonderful place to express your love of music and some of your personality (managed of-course, nature of the medium).
Also, my “thing” on the weekend is to consume some THC, drink some whisky, post some album covers/comments here, and most importantly, listen to music.
Finally, I can’t imagine I wouldn’t enjoy a great dinner and some cocktails with just about everyone that posts on this site.
