The first Biber album I bought after ‘discovering’ him about 10 years ago. It effectively became my reference for judging others.
New on Qobuz. HR. Pleasant but unexceptional Bach fare. I suppose it sounded like a real performance since the harpsichord struggled to compete with the rest of the orchestra, but at least it was audible.
She has always been beautiful and remains gracefully so today.

New on Qobuz. CD. Far too modern for me, but gently pleasant. I had not heard of Reger before but he, after a negative review, apparently made the famous response: “I am sitting in the smallest room of my house. I have your review before me. In a moment it will be behind me!”. Actually, it appears I have posted Reger’s tone poems before, so I must just have forgotten him
Don’t know how to classify this, I hear it’s called progressive Jazz but the first couple tracks seem to Jazz what Hard Core is to Rock. Maybe a little too heavy for me but we’ll let it play on
