Exactly … If you need to ask the title you don’t know music… Should put that down as a quote of the day… :slightly_smiling_face:

Afraid not about the weddings :slightly_frowning_face:, I’ve only been to the west coast once for 2 weeks of training on HAAS equipment

Bought this after Chris critiqued it, just a wee while back, during the winter of discontent …!

Qobuz. CD. This album was unusual, with its atypical cover art and only 10 of the sonatas; presumably to fit on a single CD. Sonata 14 was missing, which is a bit like a pop artist releasing an album which did not include his current big hit. The continuo was well to the fore, sometimes close to eclipsing the violin, and could be difficult to identify. Was that a harpsichord muffled by a blanket? Subsequent research indicates it was probably a claviorgan - a most unusual instrument. Les Veilleurs de Nuit do have a full version of the Mystery Sonatas, from which I would guess this album was taken, so I need to investigate that. In short, an intriguing album, but for all the wrong reasons.
