@andolink, I’ll keep it short as others have said it far better than I ever could. Hang in there and wish you the very best.
It’s time I watch 2001: A Space Odyssey again!
The trailer alone is awesome. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C2XMD80/ref=pv_ag_gcf?cmp=rt_where_to_watch
“I afraid I can’t do that Dave”
I think you are right.
Maybe we’ll watch Tron again too!
How I miss New Orleans. I disagree with the Roon’s (assume it’s all music) synopsis of this awesome compilation.
I have to get some Leon Russell. So much music…so little time.
I know Ms. Krall sometime catches some heat, due to her being somewhat ubiquitous; but this first release (I believe) is a real ear opener and she plays some mean piano on the recording. Definitely worth a spin.
Cheers.
But what do you think of “the Roon Sound”?
Enquiring minds want to know.
Regards.
My wife is a huge Leon fan, we have quite a few of his LPs. She is happily listening at this moment.
Her first two recordings are by far her best.
I’m not the guy to ask that. I love being an audiophile, my bank account sure knows it, but I get goosebumps playing my JBL flip. It sounds fine. It’s just that the idea of software making a difference is a tough one to accept for me. I’m switching back to JRiver in a bit (I have my Friday night Dale’s best playlists there - if I keep roon, I’ll import the m3u files), I might hear a direct difference then.
A bit of an acquired taste…but the debut album is a real treat.
JRiver Media Center is my go-to for critical, “audiophile” listening of the music I own, but I just love Roon coupled with my Tidal and Qobuz subscriptions for discovering new music and just letting the music flow via Roon Radio.
Wish I didn’t have to reboot my DSD to go back and forth.
I don’t seem to have that issue…how does that manifest itself, exactly?
