Qobuz. CD. I picked this album because of the garish cover. Mostly choral works. Since it was the dead of night I had to play it at very low volume, which made it difficult to assess. but I don’t think I shall be revisiting it at normal levels later
Qobuz. CD. Following the wildfire (all things are relative) success of the Buonamente album here is more music from Fontana and him. It features a lead cornet and is thus ‘brassier’ in character but still remains light and listenable. Enjoyable.
@tmcqueen: Just returned home. This morning I carried out a most thorough investigation, entirely on your behalf, there is only so much you can glean with your Web cams. The fence barricade is at the 17th hole, the road hole. It’s a safety fence, “another” massive renovation of the Old Course Hotel is taking shape. Hard to credit it as it had a big refurbishment in 2018; but, the big money decided to spend more of their millions in preparation for the 2021 British Open.
The main banquet room, the Hall of Champions extended by 50%. The Millennium Wing will be given an extra floor (millions spent on reroofing the whole building in 2018, constructing a roof with the rubber from recycled car tyres to deflect stray golf balls, well, the roof has been torn off), new wing – umpteen new bedrooms, a mega penthouse suite overlooking the Old Course … “Pariah Suite” for Prince Andrew. A new restaurant to go with the other 5 restaurants. Two meeting rooms. A new gym. Yet another Spa on the new floor. Massive reconstruction to the outside of the hotel, building a port cochere to shelter the rich, the famous, and Prince Andrew … All work will be completed in time for your friends arriving. I assume all your friends from Tennessee, and the Australian chap, are all multimillionaires. Or do they just rent a tent by the week… Anyway, away to wash Roy, he is filthy from running into the sea and rolling about on the sand.
I think they rented a house maybe a half mile away. The 4 of them split the cost so it wasn’t too expensive for each. One good thing about the Aussie, he was use to driving on the wrong side of the road, they rented a car when landed in Edinburgh . The group went and played Carnoustie, said that course whipped their butt, it was very windy that day.
I must play closer attention to them, if they have millions they are sure hiding it well!!.
A little bit bigger than Dalmahoy?
The location where I stayed during a job at Jabil in Livingston.
But i think Jabil is closed or …
Agreed. Kind of makes you ask who thought this might be a good idea?
