Thank you for the shoutout Tabascoca419! I dig Modest Mouse as well, very talented. Their guitarist played in the bands of my youth including The Smiths and Electronic.
ECM Catalog now on Tidalā¦
Thatās cool news for those that stream! (I donāt have a paddle!)
Right now: This time Iām listening to the Blu-Spec CD2. Miles Davis, āE.S.P.ā Some of my favorite music, period. Really enjoying playing with the ZROCK2.
Closing the windows and helping to bring back stodgyā¦
Disc 3 is all live. The Louisiana Hayride stuff is awesome. Itās easy to think Elvis was an instant cultural monster. He was a big deal right away but RCA made him a monster. There were a couple years from Sun to RCA. Love listening to RCA era Elvisā¦Elvis 57 and Elvis 24 Karat Hits cover that period enough for me. The real greatness was at Sun.
Sax player for James Brownā¦knew a thing or two about finding a groove!

It is fun and illuminating to experience the original version, and then his version, to hear what he was doing which was unique.
Play this compilation on a stereo like folks around here have: feel the bass!
Want your stereo to sound good? Find the Steve Hoffman mastered version of this on CD (couple bucks). The NOLA band is in the house!
Another one thatāll make your stereo happy. Pick up an HD version: some, like most Willie and Waylon, are worth It! Iām playing a 24/96 FLAC.
Discovered these guys on a trip to Austin. Such a great record. Everything good and bad about modern artists: crazy great talent but recorded tooooooo loud!
Sorry, feel like streaming ideasā¦a compilation that was panned by critics, but pick it up for the Lauren Hill song, āTurn Your Lights Down Low,ā if nothing else.

For my listening world: no.
Great Sunday morning music with a fresh ground, locally roasted, Two Brothers cup of coffee.
