What goes around, comes around?

Because they were simply too big for my system, I have consigned my Sound Lab Majestic 745s to The Music Room and have a pair of Eminent Technology LFT-8Cs arriving this Saturday.

Monoamps on hand include Pass XA60.8s and PSA M1200s, and I had been fantasizing about a pair of AGD Duets, GaN-FET-based class-Ds.. I then remembered how excellent the BHK600s sounded on nonelectrostatic speakers, found a used pair at The Music Room, and ordered them while trading in my Pass XA60.8s…and jokingly wondered if that pair was MY pair I had delivered to them last fall.. An hour later my salesrep informed me that the ‘600s I had just ordered WERE indeed MY ‘600s, so we cancelled the purchase end of that.. I still sold my Passes to TMR and requested that they return my ‘600s and improved Atma-Sphere MA-1/3.1s.

I’ll soon have the super-HI-quality ‘600s and Atma-Spheres and also the PSA M1200s to use on the ET ’8Cs; I’m a very blessed fellow, and I’m pleased to be returning to the upper end of the PSA family. :slightly_smiling_face:

Jeffrey, you’re as bad as me, but I never sell anything. I’ve several amps and several speakers and could make a couple of 7.1.4 systems (i.e. have have generations of home cinema amps as well). I have two rooms and a loft full of old gear. I don’t consider myself ill, just lazy.

The BHK600 and Atma-Sphere monoamps will be here Wed. the 24th, and my new Eminent Technology LFT-8Cs will be here…maybe today, maybe tomorrow.. I LOVE the tallish soundstage produced by tallish line-source speakers…and eventually miss the tall soundstage that point-source speakers can’t reproduce, no matter how good they are at other aspect of their sounds. We’ll see how the ‘8Cs sound.

Also have a brand-shiny-new Eminent Tech. centerchannel speaker, the discontinued LFT-12N(ew), coming, to replace my Magneplanar CC5.. The CC5 is a dialogue speaker with no bass panels; the LFT-12N has Linear-Field Transducer tweeter and MR drivers plus a pair of 6-1/2” woofers.

I’m also lusting over NEW (discontinued) LFT-6s, a three-way, all-LFT-drivers, FULL-range (well, nine octaves) tallish speaker; maybe by the end of the year.

This is hysterical (that TMR still had your pair), but am glad you’re getting your BHK600’s back. That is so cool!!

I fully understand what you are saying, but, when you use BACCH Processing height occurs even with my point source speakers. Having said that, BACCH does even more for tall dipole speakers.

Having said that, maybe you were right after all. LOL!

The ‘600s and Atma-Spheres arrived unscathed and the ‘600s sound EXCELLENT driving the panels of the ’8Cs.

The Atma-Sphere MA-1s are snuggling in a corner, waiting their turn.
