A music lover uses audio equipment to listen to his recordings. An audiophile uses recordings to listen to his audio equipment!
Har har har!!! Too true.
I must be a music lover, because it takes effort to listen to the equipment. I keep falling back into listening to the music.
J.P.
An add. definition of an audiophile vs. music lover could be someone owning a 20.000$+ audio setup, but much less than 500-1000 albums with music, favorably listening to samplers of HiFi magazines or some of the 100 audiophile albums mentioned in any equipment review around the world.
One more: If you own any Diana Krall, but don’t really like her music, you are definitely an audiophile!

Oh brother…How so very true!!!
But at the same time I also listen to the music, I guess it happens when one reaches a spot where the sound is just about right and your system is at its bust…

I have to laugh, I read it a little while ago and I just noticed that unexpectedly I have 10 of her albums on the music server.
But its still a great joke that those in the music hobby can relate too!
Thanks for sharing…
Wonder how this one fits into the Lover & Audiophile debate here.
If I actually changed homes (went from a flat to a house) only so that I could have a dedicated audio room, treat it etc what would that make me?
That would make you a very logical audiophile, clearly!
