The fact here is that you are unable understand what is happening.
Roon is is sending straight PCM data to the DS. The DS assumes that data is from a WAV file because that is the only file that would send it pure PCM data that did not need to be decoded in some way. In other words, the DS thinks it getting content from a WAV file so that is what it displays. It also tells you it is playing PCM content.
Your demands are unreasonable and frankly sophomoric.
