Looking for opinions from someone with experience with this issue. I’ve separated my ARC pre-amp from the ARC power amp by about 16 feet with XLR cable. From a sound quality standpoint would my PowerPlant 15 be better used for the pre-amp or power amp? I have dedicated lines for both.
You’ll have more positive impact powering the preamp than the power amp with the regenerator but, if possible, think someday of placing the power amp on the P15 instead and picking up a P3 for the preamp. In the end, that combo will work wonders.

Will that combo work best? I mean, is that equal or better with e.g. a P10 or even a P15 or P20?
Well, that’s a tough question because as always, the bigger the Power Plant the better the sound so, theoretically, two P20s are best. 
That said, there’s always a practical issue and my recommendation is to separate sources from power amp and run with two Power Plants as best you can afford.

My new room will be just that. P15 for source and P20 for amps as well as a few things behind the front wall of the room like Roon core, NAS, and Switch.
