What puzzles me is that over here in Europe even on Tidal & Spotify almost all new zappa releases which i posted in this thread lately are not available, only on Qobuz…
Not been on this forum for long, so just discovered this thread
This evening’s entertainment, one of my all time favourites and played at least monthly here.
Long time ago I had a rather nice pressing. Since then I’ve made do with the crappy CD transfers with dropouts etc.
Not long purchased the recently “remastered” release, bought CD, as I have better digital than analogue gear these days, nice to hear it again in more of its former glory (though still not quite the detail as my old pressing back in the day I don’t think).
Great sound! The artwork is heinous, but the set list more than makes up for it. Looking forward to yet another Zappa vault release (the floodgates are officially open!).
I was just thinking about “Welcome to The United States” while I was filling out my Wife’s DS-160 form the other day !
“I remember doot doot
I remember doot doot
They had a Swimming Pooool…” : )
Listening to this show for the first time . . . wild show, and the sound is pretty good, all things considered. There is some very interesting history regarding the venue here.
That looks rather wonderful, not come across that one before. So many Zappa releases
