Which Zappa disc are you currently spinning?

Here is an earnest but ultimately less-than-compelling cover of “Watermelon in Easter Hay,” which is another of the sacred three FZ guitar tunes that the ZFT does not want people to perform or record.

Interestingly, the complete title of this tune is: “Playing a Guitar Solo with this Band is Like Trying to Grow a Watermelon in Easter Hay.” The Big Note at p. 249 (quoting FZ).

So the new Documentary is available on Amazon Prime Video for $6.99. I’ll be cutting out a couple of hours of time hopefully today to watch it. Here’s Frank Doris’s review on Cineluxe: https://www.cineluxe.com/review-zappa/?fbclid=IwAR2oTYMsLB0Be40eFGsZgODP3sJb6JBTdXECBC1CBu9Db1ESYirlV9olNz4
