Why, and how, does the Sprout100 sound *so* damn good?

I have a habit of periodically pulling my Sprout100 out of the system and replacing it with another integrated amplifier for a while. Most recently, I swapped it out for a Marantz Stereo 70s, which is a genuinely excellent integrated amp.

This morning—after about three months—I removed the Marantz and put the Sprout100 back into service. The difference was immediate and unmistakable.

It leaves me asking the same question every time: why, and how, does the Sprout100 sound so damn good?

Well, i don’t know, but my sprout 1er gen, is so amazing, I prefer to keep it and put it in family room on my fullrange speaker. Maybe the son, listen his father on what important in music.

Also I am waiting for what his new company in 2026 will produce!
