Windom: Installation/Technical Problems

Almost 1 month later and he USB issue I was having has been resolved.

It turns out that the problem I was experiencing was not related to the Windom upgrade at all. With the help of @CustomerServiceWizard and Mark Simpson, (Sorry Mark, I couldn’t find an @ tag for you) at PS Audio support, and some extensive testing with different USB cables and different sources, we concluded that the best course of action would be to send the DAC for a round-trip to Boulder for some TLC. The wonderful Technology Doctors at the Boulder lab determined that the the digital board needed to be replaced.

I got the DAC back this past Sunday and there are no longer any USB issues. Furthermore, the sound quality that I now get from my system is simply glorious and very much ASMR inducing! Much better than what I was experiencing prior to the trip to Boulder.

Thanks for getting this corrected. It’s going to be a great winter in the listening room this year.
