Neil Young’s long-awaited post-Pono project is finally up and running at www.neilyoungarchives.com. It contains all his music – including previously unreleased work – from the past 50 years, presented in maximum available resolution using his new Xstream protocol. For the past couple of days I’ve been enjoying incredibly lush recordings from my Chrome browser running under Win10 pushing bits via USB to my NuWave DAC piped to a PCA-2 preamp driving a set of Sennheiser cans. The site’s retro design and innovative navigation is worth a look all on its own. Enjoy!
