Is Lust OK on the forum?
25sqmm (3AWG) aluminium (equivalent to 16sqmm (5AWG) copper) mains feed from the pole to the house, new main fuse box to the pole with better fuses, and a 6sqmm (9AWG) dedicated line across the room, terminated with a Furutech female IEC instead of an outlet, to be connected straight to a modified Supra LoRad power strip, and later when capital allows, a Power Plant. No power cord needed there!
If my drooling at Al’s various pictures is any indication, then I’d say it’s encouraged!
Here she is, a bit more dressed up.
Wow.
Man @tony22 ; you sure know how to tease a fellow.
“Solidity”!*

Slap a picture of this beautiful kit in the dictionary next to the word.
Congratulations, @tony22.
To add to this, I think it is extremely beneficial both in terms of optimal performance and cost-effectiveness that even a power plant can be connected straight to the line without anything other than the necessary IEC connector in between. This way, I’d wager I would get a Power Plant to perform better than with ANY power cable out there!!
Now that’s some money saved.
Thanks. So far it sounds wonderful, but my carts had been boxed away for almost a year in the move, so all including this Benz need a bit of time to loosen up. And eventually I’ll need to get a new equipment rack. The old one that I brought from my last house is ill suited to this room. A whole ‘nother matter to deal with.
Man…sounds rough.
Hang in there.
Here she is with her Personal Protective Equipment. Last picture, I promise!
The reflection on the right is from the hurricane shutters on the nearby window. Florida, you know.
I am sure a nice product like that is built for stability and isolation to a certain extent.
That said, looking at the design of its supporting legs, it struck me that a proper set (matched for the correct weight to be borne) of IsoAcoustics’ OREA Series* isolators might be efficacious.
Just a thought…

Possibly. I use Isoacoustics products in other locations, so I can certainly vouch for their effectiveness. These feet, I can say so far, appear to be very effective themselves. I was playing a record and was banging on the maple platform with zero effect. I even had the stylus sitting stationary on a lead in groove, did the same thing - nothing. I spoke with HW about these feet. They’re based somewhat on the HW40 feet, those are the ones the he demoed on a YouTube video where he was banging the cr@p out of a half filled water bottle on a platform while the HW40 was playing, with no effect there. Because the ADD is a much heavier table it required a combination of those materials plus an internal air bladder in each foot. They seem completely unfazed by anything I did.
Might not have an added benefit then…
Something to keep in mind if you are ever in the mood to experiment, maybe.
Enjoy the new 'table.
Well I got my cable in from The Netherlands. . . and it does not have the correct connectors. Sigh.
Meantime I am running the DAC without the Farad Super3. . . and I like it. A lot. The Edcor transformers are great, and there’s a warmth without the Super3 I missed.
I put a set of Gaia’s under my Avenger at one point, did not make a discernable difference (I have ISO acoustics products under ALL of my electronics & speakers) and I preferred the look of the Avenger feet
Avenger Reference feet are available as well
Avenger Reference (vpiindustries.com)
I had those feet on my other Avenger. These are significantly better.
Is this a one off by Harry? I don’t see it listed as a current product, though I recall a while back Harry said he was working on direct drive conversions for some of the top line belt drive models. An interesting alternative to the 40th anniversary direct dive.
That particular turntable was on my list of “Why ask for more”. I would be perfectly happy with that sweet thang!
Nope. It’s the first off the VPI production line of the actual Avenger Direct, as Mat tells me. They’re in the process of updating the website for other reasons right now. I guess the Direct will show up when all that’s done.
Thanks, Al!
