I am done tweaking. But the last three sessions i only listened to vinyl or CD’s.
I am confident the NAS sounds better than attached drives already though.
What does your underpayment comprise of? And will you put on top?

Yes, finally after 39 years of “shared” family spaces for my systems, I have my own dedicated sound room.
It’s this stuff.
I saw what an improvement it made when I was using it under temporary area rugs this past year. That was an interim arrangement until I got to this room completion stage. There will be carpet pad over this and a wall to wall carpet over all of it.

14 x 16. My last space in my old house was 17 x 24, but it was the “family room” and was horrendous for audio. Mirror on one side wall, half height wall open to the kitchen on the other wall, one speaker firing back into an open space, the other into a corner. Even in my primitive listening over the course of this last year, in this new room, I’m getting spatial balance and evenness of frequency that I never had in my past almost 4 decades. I can accept a smaller space given what I’ve heard so far. Oh, and the front and side walls are all exterior concrete block walls. Nothing like symmetry around and behind the speakers!

I kept the old circuit in place as fed from the main subpanel. Those are the ones in the wall. Since as exterior walls, there is only a little less than 3/4” clearance behind the drywall to the concrete block, there wasn’t enough room to fit the 1/2” Smurf tubing (which in its exterior dimension is larger than the available space) that carry the circuit runs from my new dedicated subpanel. So I found this Wiremold raceway product that fits the twisted triple THHN 10 AWG perfectly.
Now I can use the old circuit for lights (TT or otherwise), the fan, etc, and it won’t touch the audio runs.
That’s what I figured.

My motto has always been “never get rid of anything!”. 
When I did my room in the basement, I did 2 x 20amp up front wall, 1 15 and 1 20 at the base of the rack on the side, a 15 for the random plugs in the room and I cannot remember if I put the wall sconces on that or its own. When I replaced the Tice with P10, the 20 in that closet went to the new 115v Mini Split and boy that saved me tons of time/money for not running another circuit. But when I got solar they had a hard time finding space in my breaker box. I did not do a sub panel. I was hard up for money 15 years ago when I did the room. At some point maybe a I will do a sub panel.
Understood. It’s not a cheap endeavor. Not Al expensive 
, but copper especially ain’t cheap no more. I have 80’ of 2 AWG NM-B copper running from my outside main cutoff, and about 200’ total of solid 10 AWG THHN for the 6 individual circuits. But at this time in my life I have the opportunity to try and do it the way I want, for once.
But still, I’m a piker compared to @aangen and the kinds of folks on WBF!
