The Melco switch is connected to the LHY SW-6 switch via fiber optic.
The Muon pro is connected there, which connects the Marantz Link 10n to the Internet. Additionally I have a Sortz LAN Signature on a 1 Gbit output. There is a Furutech LAN Clear Line on a 100 Mbit connection. All other outputs are closed with Audioquest LAN caps. The Sortz provides a deeper soundstage. The Furutech Clear Line has little impact; It only closes a 100 Mbit connection, otherwise the AudioQuest caps are too tight. The fiber optic connection increased the spatial representation. The Sortz Lan Signature enhances the effect that the Muon pro gave me. With the muon pro on the 1Gbit connection it sounds more dynamic and just as organic as on 100 mbit. The Ansuz sortz give me a positive effect and they seem to harmonize well with the Grid Protector. I was advised against using phonosophy or vortex in conjunction with Schnerzinger products. Even the Epplugs I recently tried didnāt produce any benefits. Yes, I was also told that the Schnerzinger socket is supposed to be good. Only I noticed that every now and then I have a transformer humming for a short time in my AVM mono power amplifiers. For this reason I would like to loop a DC filter between the wall socket and my Furutech Vault. I think itās more useful in my case than another socket. Sometimes you canāt have everything. The humming annoys me and I worry that it could damage something. I was thinking of an IsoTek V5 SYNCRO UNI 16 which will probably be available from March. Greetings Andreas
Only to help this Paul guy (not Paul or the other Paul, a different Paul), I installed my Reserve XLR interconnects and let them carry signal overnight. This morning I listened and quite liked what I thought I heard. Then I went back to the old Front Rows and heard what they lacked compared to the new Reserves.
So far and very preliminarily, unlike the Reserve power cable, you have to listen actively to hear the improvement of the ICs.
With the power cable you can hear the improvements while eating celery.
I tested the Ansuz Sortz RCA on the analog inputs, the effect is a little less marked with the same advantages and the same small drawback.
Then I used a USB/RCA adapter and I connected the Ansuz to the television (which is connected to my system via an HDMI cable to a ZidƩo NƩo Alpha which I use as a Streamer). Result: sharper image, more detoured TV sound.
AND also a gain in transparency for my system, certainly not as important as by connecting the Ansuz Sort directly to the Zidoo or the Dac, but no loss of dynamic.
The ānoiseā generated by the television which is transmitted by the HDMI cable to the Zidoo must be absorbed by the Ansuz Sortz.
Thanks Fred, every time I watch a movie Iāll remember that I still need a sortz for my television. ![]()
Just like you, I noticed that the digital part shows more effects with a sortz than the analog one.
I am hoping the Front Row Reserve interconnect (RCA for me) is a big step up from AQ MacKenzie.
Initial impression, the FrontRow XLRs are incredible. Fleet footed and balanced across the spectrum.
The Front Rows are my favorite cables after spending/losing a ton of money on other brandsā top line cables.
I tried the Reserves just from (perhaps self destructive) curiosity. The majority of my cables will remain Front Row.
The introduction of the FrontRow Reserve line caused me to take a brief pause. Not having auditioned them, important to me as I am not one to buy based on reviews, I opted out and have decided to stick with my original plan for 2025, a loom of FrontRow for my Wilson/Vitus system. The XLR have made an immediate positive impression, and continue to satisfy.
The television is very often the most polluted piece as itās connected to cable or satellite.
This sounds like Front Row is special, especially since you donāt normally give high praise on initial impressions. This is potentially great news for me, as interconnect from Stealth is beyond my reach
Jumped the gun, but the benefit was obvious. I still believe the Fidelium Silversmith XLR cables are an excellent performer and a special value cable.
Iāll have to get upgraded power cables and eat more celeryā¦
ā¦works with raw carrots too.
Ramen noodles help also with audio savings.

Amen. That may be my m.o. now that my coffers are emptied.
I am staying with Fidelium until I upgrade my amp first. However, I have some big bills to pay (taxes, tuition, & travel will be over $100k!). Maybe I will do a Ansuz Sortz used. ![]()
My latest upgrade was a set of Sonos Arc Ultra plus a Sub 4. They are replacing B&W Formation Bar and Bass for my Sony 77" Oled. The Formation Bar died again after two years since the last repair. Within 5 years it failed twice, and I spent $700 on repair and shipping to the East Coast. Enough is enough on this unreliable product!
The Sonos soundbar and bass are impressive, and frankly they sounded better than B&W, and I bet they will last a lot longer too. I also bought a AQ Powerquest3 (designed for HT) to replace Puritan PSM156. Again, I was surprised how great the pictures looked with Powerquest 3. Sound SQ? When I watch movies, I never pay attention to audio, and I never listen to music on my HT system anyway.
Last, back to audio. I moved Puritan PSM156/Groundmaster City back into the audio rack. All it serves is the Orbi sat. and a Ipad charger. Hmm, no kidding the sound is cleaner than before. This Puritan has been moving around a few times. When I put it to serve the router/modem upstairs, there was minimum difference (none according to my wife), but at the sat. it makes more SQ improvement. The difference is the sat. is hardwired connecting to my system, while router upstairs is using WiFi.
Time to watch a good movie, the new HT setup needs more break in.
I am staying with La Marzocco until I switch to Kees Van Der Westen.
Will you be using the stock power cables or looking into higher end alternatives?

Hi Donald, Iām jealous you have another room for your HT. I donāt have the room so Iām force to combine my HT and main stereo system. But hereās what I do, While my Polk sound bar and sub woofer is ok for TV duties, they are terrible for music and movies. Instead, I run Toslink out from my 65" LG G4 Oled to my MK2 Dac and use my main stereo system for the soundtracks of 4k DVDs and music videos. The soundtracks of 4k, and other movies has gotten so good recently that I am truly blown away by the power and dynamics these discs portray. The vocals on these newer discs has also completely lost the harshness and sibilance and sound so much more natural than before. Watching movies is truly an engaging experience with my Wilson speakers! I plug the TV into the P20 and the picture is simply spectacular!
