At a former home, I installed a “fancy” sliding glass door that had a shade built in between glass panes that allowed you to have a clear view or the shades lowered (or was it raised? I can’t remember.).
Pretty cool - and great for reducing glare/reflections when they are unwanted…
Don’t suppose you sprung for those in this instance?
Probably a bit of an exaggeration/presumptuous (posting in the your next upgrade thread), but I just picked up a couple of boxes of these (NOS) and plan to put them between the surface of my PSA PowerBases and source component feet.
The were relatively cheap and I thought, what the heck?; I’ll give 'em a try.
It will be a few days as I am still in the middle of tearing down and reconfiguring the system to accommodate some changes to the room set up and the addition of an EtherRegen and power supply for the JK Richards power supply I am installing in my DS Sr. DAC.
The next progress will be on November 22nd. Hopefully fully assembled by the end of Thanksgiving weekend. Then Jeremy Bryan from MBL will come some time after and measure the room acoustics for treatment and placement.
It’s been a good week for audiophile orders and arrivals. Waited 6 months for this Warwick Aperio headphone/Dac/preamp set up. @aangen approves. The flight case is a little excessive.
Way better than cardboard boxes if you are one to keep the OEM “packaging”. I have some amplifiers that came in a flight case and it really came in handy for sending the amps in for some repair work.
You might not like the color of the speaker’s. I am going with White. Figured that if I ever want a women in my life I better go with the tamer white .
I got to listen to this headphone system tonight!
It seemed really really nice!
And for only $40k!!!
When I listened to the 24.192 MQA version of “Planet Claire” from the nice kids in the B-52’s I could almost see the Pink Air, Red Trees, No one dying, no heads.
I really really wanted to but my wife says the Internet is filled with stories of the between the glass blinds failing. Sooner, rather than later. I was all in for the concept. But she who must be obeyed said no.
That is such a dream space, it’s absolutely stunning, looking out over the water, with the wooden paneling, I’d struggle to speak in that kind of environment, my jaw would be on the floor constantly. Breathtaking.
