My last upgrade turned out to be a “not-grade”, and surprisingly it was with Stack CS-1 feet. I’d already had a nice result with another set under my Pass XP-22 control chassis, so I decided to try another set under my DS MkII. I tried 4 feet, moved around to different locations under the chassis, then three in various spots. Three seemed better than four, but no Stacks were still better. It was a tradeoff decision. The best arrangement of three had a weird effect of improving the silence between the notes, but set the vocals back just a touch, which I didn’t like. And all attempts wound up reducing the sense of the musical space “breathing” naturally. Which seems to be in direct conflict with “improving the silence between the notes”, but there you have it. Removing the CS-1 brought back what was to me - maybe a bit less silence notwithstanding - a greater sense of “movement” in the music, and restoring vocal placement to where I like it. In truth I’m describing differences that people unfamiliar with my system would probably not pick up, but they’re there. It was a good lesson in “what works for some does not necessarily work for all”. Maybe it was the decay being truncated slightly, now that I think about it.
I have never been able to enjoy headphone listening. Its not the fundamental difference in the way sound reaches your ears - I enjoy many recordings with headphones - that puts me off. Rather, I have never been able to tolerate the headphones against my ears for any length of time.
I have always wondered if others simply find headphones too uncomfortable to bear for more than a few songs.

They need this before use, and then give them a few hours to settle down again, before you assess the results.

Yes. As to the wait time, no I gave it only about an hour. My own experience with the Stacks does not align with their use guidance. I’ve found insignificant to no observable difference beyond the initial, hours after they’ve been put in. Maybe it’s too subtle for me to tell.
They are shipping from my dealer in Pennsylvania Monday morning. I am very excited!
My latest upgrade is installing a Graphene Sluggo (from Verafi Audio) in my Decware Dynagrid Jr. external rectifier. The Dynagrid Jr. was a fantastic addition to my system, feeding my Decware SEWE300B amplifier perfectly and the Graphene Sluggo really made a nice improvement in the overall playback. (It was a fully seasoned Sluggo that has been in the P15 in my audio/visual system for many moons).
I have been in the process of emptying out my study/music room for a new carpet and pad install. Can’t wait for the install to be completed!
I received another brand new Graphene Sluggo from Verafi Audio and replaced the Audio Magic M1 in my PerfectWave SACD Transport with the Graphene Sluggo. A distinct improvement. Now all accessible fuses in my main system have Graphene Sluggos and I’m a happy camper.

I have now proven to myself that when listening to Edgar’s new Martina speakers, nearfield listening is not nearly as pleasurable as sitting further away. Sitting three feet back makes an enormous difference. It’s way obvious. And it’s a really nice improvement!

Nope.
Sometimes yes. I’ve really been strapped for cash the last two years or more and have practiced “attrition”–these were purchased after I sold other items I had.
Not sure what most is but it looks very, verty nice.
