YouTube @Paulmcgowanpsaudio -- only uploading 480p content

Hello,

I’m not a regular here, just dipping my toes into the audiophile world. So I’ve been watching the YouTube channel “@Paulmcgowanpsaudio” pretty regularly. I’ve noticed over the past few days that the videos are now only uploaded in 480p. I’m reasonably certain this is not the intent, and if I had to guess somewhere you have an automated job with a step that is failing. But hey, that’s a total guess and as likely as not to be wrong.

I’m just hoping you guys can find some pixels to spare to maybe get that content back to at least HD?

OR .. is this some YouTube chicanery? Also entirely possible. Because they are … well, I’m sure the Germans have a word for folks who always choose the Dark Pattern in software development. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?

I am guessing it’s one of your settings as I upload (I am the automation) in 1080P.

I hate to say this, but the 5 most recent videos, including the video regarding Infinity & low impedence speakers, 480p is the highest quality that can be selected. The most recent video that 1080p is selectable is the video on getting I2s out of a computer.

Dang. You’re right! I need to investigate. Thanks for the heads up.
