Room really looks good, ‘Fats. Well done!
Minnesotafats, what a shame to pay so much for such a beautiful set of speakers only to have to hide them because someone else doesn’t see the beauty in them.
Honestly the sub towers kinda look like a refrigerator so I actually like to disguise them. So call me half as guilty for the disguise ![]()
Properly cut cloth would probably look even better than the screens. Could change the colors with the seasons or mood. Add sashes or designs to complement the decor. The screens look good but would be even better if they were a bit taller and wrapped further around. I had a pair of MBL standmounts but they got damaged in shipping. Got one repaired but the other’s midrange was dead. The one good speaker sounded pretty good.
I have been thinking the same thing. Appreciate your wisdom. Sorry to hear about shipping damage
Jürgen out at MBL? That’s kind of big news.

Will Chow Tai Seng Jewelry Co. just optimize and then sell the company again?
Just when I was going to buy mbl speakers ![]()
Jurgen is a genius and Jeremy was the heart and soul of MBL in North America. Sad to see them not a part of MBL going forward.
Reminds me of when William Zane Johnson left Audio Research, or Arnie Nudell left Infinity/Genesis, or Jim Winey of Magnepan. Fortunately Nelson Pass is still in the game.
It does appear from the pics you enjoy the finer things from Germany. ![]()
Agreed…unless you get Xtremes…then you wait patiently to sell a used pair of 101s.for 2.to 3 years.
Agreed except Winey left on.good terms with the folks at Maggie…and his legacy at Maggie was/is protected. Jurgens legacy at MBL remains to be seen and seems in doubt.
Difference of opinion with the new MBL International LLC noted. It is unfortunate, I certainly like their products, but visually a bit over the top.
