Anyone compare Eversolo T10 with PMG 512 streamer?

Last December I compared an Eversolo T8 against the PMG 512’s internal streamer, and I found that the PMG sounded better—more air, better transients, better soundstage. Now I’m wondering if the T10, with a better clock, better internal shielding, and lower-noise power supply transformer can equal or surpass the PMG. I really like the capabilities provided by Eversolo’s software as well as the larger display in the T10, but I won’t trade all that for lesser sound quality. I

Has anyone compared these two? Thanks!

I compared the A6 and internal, the T8 and T10 were not out yet (maybe T8 was)… But the internal streamer was much better.

Well, the internal streamer was better than the T8, too.

You may have to wait until their back log of orders has caught up to the point that they show up at places like Amazon and Crutchfield where you have the 30 day return policy. That’s what I’m waiting on to try it. The regular US dealers are showing middle of July for their next delivery.

It may not help, but there was a post on the Rose forum from someone in Italy who tried a T10 and he and his friends compared it to his RS130. It sounds like they all preferred the RS130, but a single report like that has to be taken with a great deal of caution.

Great point.

Indeed. Do you know if the comparison was using the PMG 512 fed with I2S?

Thanks, Tony.

AudioAdvice has them, and offers a 30-day trial. That’s where I purchased, and returned, my T8.

Unfortunately I do not recall what DAC that fellow has, but I’m quite sure it’s not the PMG512.

I’ll check them again. Last I checked they and Bloom both said mid-July.

If you like the display and the inner workings, get the T10.

Right; it’s a network transport. I’m not sure what your post is in reference to.

I was thinking you were looking at a DAC, then realized you weren’t, so I changed my post.

Had the T8 a couple of times, returned them. Got the T10, sounded better but the DLNA/UPnP network connection lagged on both using Audirvana. When trying to go the next track or stopping the track, there was a 1-2 second delay before it responded. I also had the RS130, did the same. On my PMG 512, instant response. While the cool screens do look great, the sound out of the 512 streamer is absolutely breathtaking. Once Maestro is finished, that is next.

So are you saying (audio memory not withstanding) the PMG512 streamer sounds better than both the RS130 and the T10?

Using Audirvana only. Using JPlay I have no lag or other issues with the T8.

Yes sir, on my system.

Fascinating.

I keep trying various streamers with the PMG 512 DAC and every time I go back to the internal streamer. While there is no pretty screen to look at, the sound is incredible with this streamer. And I have tried the Fiber connections on all of these, it still doesn’t compare.

I had similar experience. I did fiber to RS130 to MKII. I was not able to try 130 to PGM as I had sold it. But all other streamers I tried the internal was much better. I think taking all the other variables out of the picture really helps the internal. its connected “optimally” to the DAC. no external interfearence. I have hear others who switched to all in one solutions from other brands find similar effects. dCS etc..

I do have a melco S100 fed via fiber from LHY to run my system so I do have that fiber isolation for my system as well. That helps a ton.
