Just putting this out there. . . I have about a half a dozen of the big heavy duty “component suspended in plastic” shipping boxes that DSD, DMP, PowerBases, etc. came in that I have been storing. I’m divesting myself of the storage unit I can no longer really afford and hate to recycle these IF someone could use them in any shape or form. I’d gladly send one or more to anyone who wants to pay for the postage. Let me know in the next month or so. Thanks.

Anything for an S300?

I don’t know what type of box an S300 comes in. I can imagine it would fit fine in one of the boxes I have for the PowerBase, DSD, etc. BUT I have no experience with the packaging for that component–nor experience with the component.
Do you happen to have a box for a P5?
I don’t have one that specifically housed a P5 before, but I think that one of the boxes I do have will fit one as it seems to be very much like the DSD Mk I or the DMP transport in dimensions.
The boxes I have are those that housed the DSD Mk I, Mk II, DirectStream Memory Player, PerfectWave SACD transport, and the PowerBases. These are all the same boxes.
Kudos to you for proactively thinning out your footprint. I’ve been doing some of that as well - some compelled by budget requirements and some to avoid leaving a pile of stuff for my kids to have to sort through. Having lived in Finland for many years a long time ago I picked up the concept of Swedish Death Cleaning - meaning as one ages, one cleans out the less meaningful things in life a bit at a time. For me, the biggest step I’ve taken yet is to sell my beloved 1962 Fiat D600 
it had to be done now or later. Not that it was unmeaningful, but I had a good run and it needed to go to a good home.
