V174 now. The scrolling on files has slowed down again, on Qobuz the speed is better.
However, when I played a DSD file from a queue I created, it stopped in the middle of the song. I clicked play and it did nothing. The only way to restart the music was by either forwarding or go backward to the last song. This happened more than once.
It just happened again when I switched screens.
Thanks for the screenshot — that error means the app build doesn’t match your Mac’s hardware or OS version, and I can fix it once I know which. Two quick things:
If your Mac says “Intel” under processor, that’s the answer — the build you have is for Apple Silicon Macs, and there’s a separate one for that. Nothing is wrong with your machine.
Paul,
It’s an Intel Mac. I got it from the Maestro site. Also, will there be an iPad app soon as that’s what I control Roon with when I listen to music.
Yes, there will be an iPad app maybe in a few weeks, or as much as a month. Currently doing battle with Apple. ![]()
Delete the download you have and go back to https://maestrodesktop.com/download and download the Intel version and you should be ok.
Ok, had to go back to version v11.0.135 which would cooperate with my computer.
Thanks
One more…
How do I get it to see my Sonic Transporter music server? It does not show up in the available folders/drives.
I have decided to wait till IPad version comes out, but have created my login all ready ![]()
The Transporter is Jesus from Sonore’s little music server, right? I don’t think Maestro connects because it is also a music server. Guess I am confused why you would want to have it connect. To use as your library? If so, not sure that’d work. Better to let Maestro take over as your server and library manager.
@paul, how are the playlists on the artist page created? When I search for an artist I see the artist info/picture ‘popular tracks’, ‘playlists’, ‘albums’, ‘singles & eps’. All items except ‘playlists’ seem to function. The ‘playlist’ items just seem to be images.
Yes, that’s Jesus from Sonore/SGC.
The reason I want to use it is that’s where all my ripped music is stored.
I did find it in the pop up menu under Zones and Network Players under it’s IP address.
If I look at the Local Files at the main menu, none of my music is there, so I click Add Music or Manage, I’m taken back to the page where I can Brows Folders but the music server does not appear anywhere even though it’s on my local network.
I’m looking for the drive (SonicTransporter) where my music is stored, but that’s ok. I think I just located it.
Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks
BTW, what I have heard from Qobuz via Maestro is very noticeably better sounding that Roon. Smoother and less “hash” is the way I can describe it.
It may not advertise itself as something Maestro recognizes as a source. Your ripped music isn’t stored in the Rendu, it’s stored on a file somewhere on the little green computer. If you can locate the address of that file then you could connect Maestro to it.
Here’s what I do. I have all my ripped library on a network HD. I think that cost me about $80 for 4tB. Then, I point my music managers to that store and they can all access the same place.
In Qobuz search for ‘Miles Davis’. Under ‘Top Result’ click on ‘Artist’. Click on ‘View full profile’. This takes you to the ‘Composer Page’, with a picture of the artist, biography, popular tracks, playlists, albums, singles and eps. The playlist items are non-functional.
Exactly, and that’s why I built it. It is significantly better sounding than any app I have ever tried. And not by accident. ![]()
Actually the Rendu is their streamer (but I use an AirLens).
The “Transporter” is the networked drive with a 1TB SS HD.
Gottcha. Thanks for that update!
It seems to have loaded MP3 versions only of some albums of which there are both MP3 versions and 24/96 Flac versions. How to remedy?
Also - how do I remove a network share?
Gotcha. Thanks so much. This is now fixed!
