First, a quick check on your end: are the 24/96 FLAC copies stored in the same folder tree you added to Maestro, or a different location? Maestro only sees folders you’ve added as sources, so if the FLACs live elsewhere, adding that folder brings them in.
If both versions ARE under scanned folders, try this: open the Duplicates view in the left sidebar, and also search for one of the affected album titles. If the FLAC versions show up there, they were scanned fine and the album view is choosing the wrong version to display — that’s ours to fix, and I’d like your logs to confirm it: Help menu → export logs, and send the file my way. If they don’t show up at all, the scanner set them aside or never saw them, and the logs will show that too.
Either way the logs settle it in minutes. One thing I’ll say: if it turns out Maestro is preferring an MP3 over a 24/96 FLAC of the same album, that’s exactly backwards for what this platform stands for, and it’ll get fixed fast.
Thanks Paul, just sent you a log. All folders involved are in the folder on the NAS that was scanned. I had searched duplicates, the FLAC versions were not there.
I reset the library and quit the app, killed the cloudflared instances that were still running and deleted the appdata Maestro folder. Then restarted the app, added the network share and scanned the source yesterday, it’s still scanning this am.
I do seem to wind up with multiple instances of cloudflared running that either a restart or manual kill is needed to stop.
It seems Ella Radio is now only loading one track instead of a station. Happens with “old” stations that were saved as well as with a newly described station. attaching a pic of the error code that shows up. Let me know if you want logs or if this is a known issue.
@paul I’m now at v182 on Windows. I WIPED and rescanned my local files, track order on DSD albums is still incorrect. Track length on local FLAC albums is still missing.
I now see some sort of message in the upper left corner of the application every so often, looks like:
I am very interested in trying out Maestro. I exclusively use my IPAD. I haven’t used my desktop in years. Any idea when it will available for IPAD/Iphone ?
Sorry Paul - stays stuck on “shaping the set” in the message box and still only adds 1 song to the queue. The other thing I now notice - the play counter advances at 6 or 7 second intervals (not one at a time)
My punishment for rebuilding it. Once we get Ella back running right you’ll be amazed at what she’s up to. I listened last night for about 4 hours and it was beautifully done, lots of great tracks I’d never heard, good pacing, arc, variety, and amazing SQ. A bit of whack a mole right now so apologies but it better get fixed tonight because I am planning on breaking open a new bottle of sauvignon we’ve been wanting to try and enjoying the warm (but smokey) evening.
