Audiophile cannabis strains

I see, wow, ok. You should get your 3.0 in Leafly. Never mind, I misread thinking you created 3.0.

I wish I created her, lol

Dang. That purple bud looks beautiful!

I’ve not tolerated combustion of cannabis for many years now…causes sinus and ear infections likely from the fungus/mold so I’ve been processing flower into tincture and/or edible gummies. It does affect the ‘feeling’ as it follows a different metabolic pathway when ingested or absorbed vs. smoked. On the plus side I get none of the nasty burning things…but sometimes do miss the instant smoke high.

I’ve had a ‘magical butter machine’ for years that just keeps on ticking. A quick decarb in the Instant Pot, a few hours swimming with a 5th of high proof vodka to extract the goodness, boil it down a bit and bob’s your uncle. 1/8th makes enough tincture for me for at least a year. I’m a low dose kind of guy.

I’m still in search of that elusive perfect auditory companion

Wow. You guys are so informative and have done so much research.

I on the other hand, grew up in Pakistan close to the Afghan border in the city of Peshawar. There used to be a tribal belt as a buffer between the two countries. The tribal belt was governed by the federal government akin to the Indian reservations here in the US. My friends and I would crossover into the tribal area where we had befriended a hash dealer (a refugee from Afghanistan). He would supply us with the best afghani ‘garda’ which is moistened with water, heated, and then hand-pressed into hash. Good old days. Interestingly, after googling, found that the plant used is the ‘indica’ variety.

Now in the US, it is the leafy variety that I consume…

That’s exactly how it was for me, and also in the mid 70’s . We used to smoke all the standards - Oaxacan, Panama Red, Acapulco Gold - by the bags full. One day, a friend of mine got his hands on Thai stick. Well, so long Latin America, hello Asia. I couldn’t get over the fact that it was tied to a stick, and so tasty!
Then, Hawaiian came a knockin’. The intoxicating perfume permeating the air once the bag was opened was like nothing else.
I had forgotten how much fun those times were.

Thank you! I really enjoy growing cannabis and there is hardly anything more beautiful than opening the door to a room full of color and great smell. Almost as much as smoking it

Here are two of my most favorite pictures and plants. Bruce Banner 3.0 and Smurfzilla.

I’m on a break due to russet mites but once I get going again if you are near Detroit or are ever in town I will give you some. Maybe trade you for some advice on my little system.

You’ll have to give me about six months my friend. These mites have really kicked my butt.

Hello Paul,

Yes I very well remember that summer and the mason jar I received from you! WOW, you are so right! For me, it was the very, very best pot that I have ever smoked! As well you know.

I still have that nice small pyrex glass pipe that you recommended to me.
Anyway with your stuff and that pipe I managed to have a real “fun-time” for the best part of 2 years before everything was gone.

After that, I never really came across anything that would touch it.
Two hits and one is away for the evening… Just wonderful stuff!

Oh, and I still have the Mason Jar in remembrance of a wonderful product and our time together.

A lot of water has flowed under the bridge with our lives, but some memories still linger, right?

And you are right! It was “One of the best experience”

Thanks for the memories,

Your friend,
Ian W

I had a friend who, when given a quarter oz of two toke weed would smoke it all in an afternoon. I was curious as to why so I tried it once. The first couple of hits seemed to work just fine. Additional hits would sometimes get me to an uncomfortable state. A few more would push me through to some new zone. Eventually it seemed like I would smoke myself straight, if possible.

What I learned was if you ever have particularly good pot and you get yourself confused, frightened, or uncomfortable, just smoke more. You break on through to another side.

Fun.

I tried weed once 30 years ago, and I felt nothing! My friend gave me some more, and still nothing.

I saved the money and bought some good wine, and they are worth a lot more now.

Hah! That’s right. I had forgotten. Thanks for the memories.

This is so funny!
Have you noticed that this is the top-listed thread?
So it begs the question? I wonder why it is so?
