Good question, I’ve been out of this argument for a while.
Mmm what about the HDMI cable you could sell soon?

Nah, I’m thinking I need a 77OLED to showcase the Dragon48 should I ever break up the PST/MK2.
Before I got rid of my dragon 48 I used it on my 4k Blu-ray player to processor and on the Apple TV to OLED. It’s quite a nice performer with video also.
One could use that 4k blu-ray player for audio, lol
I have a I2S card on my soon to be listed oppo 203 player. It plays native DSD to the Mk1 or Mk2 via SACD’s. IMO it is second in sound quality to the DSF rips playing thru a Grimm or Auralic G2.
Does this Oppo model allow one to rip the .dsf layer without modifications?
No. That is the 103 or 105 Blu-ray player.
Maybe a post to the marketplace would be more appropriate, just sayin’.
Does anyone here have a pair of Audioquest Dragon speaker cables, 8-foot or longer, that I could borrow to do a sound-check against my current cables to see if I wanna buy a pair? I’m trying to fill out my loom.
Yeah. I thought so. Thanks for listening.
Carry on….
Um…it is the AudioQuest Dragon Thread.
It was only a suggestion Scottie, and the MarketPlace is more effective for promoting sales.
Cheers!
If you find that generous soul with Dragon speaker cable loaners let me know!
I thought maybe you were as curious as me and always wanted to see what the Audioquest dragon Source looks like from the inside. I was surprised at how thin just one wire is. There isn’t a lot of silver in there.

Audioquest Dragon speaker cables just popped up on the TMR page. 3m length looks like banana amp end spades at the speakers.
I am using Dragon HC for Audioquest Niagara 5000 as well as Dragon Source for streamer.
The Network Acoustics has a AQ Blizzard XTRM, maybe it’s to time to test a Dragon there too
Today I swapped the device plug on an Audioquest Dragon Source for a Furutech Rhodium NCF. I like the slightly smoother sound better now.
The Audioquest connector with silver-plated copper contacts seems to brighten the treble range a bit.
I noticed that the Audioquest Dragon Source cables of the old and new versions differ in the structure of the conductors and also in their sound.
The old, braided version sounds more physical and a little warmer.
Maybe it’s the more neutral of the two and doesn’t sound like a pure silver cable.
The new version sounds a little more open and forward-looking, slightly more detailed, but also a little slimmer in sound.
The old braided version of the Audioquest Dragon Source has three solid copper conductors for ground.
Two solid silver conductors and one solid copper conductor each for zero and phase. Made in China.
The new, unbraided version of the Audioquest Dragon Source, made in Taiwan, has only one solid silver conductor each for ground, phase and zero.
Greetings Andreas
Interesting, Andreas!
It looks relatively easy to swap out the plugs?
Regards,
Phil
With the source cables it is easier, and the terminal connections of the connectors can hold the conductors well. The solid conductors of the Audioquest HC are quite thick, and I used special cable lugs from Furutech. However, these must be pressed with special pliers. With the 209 cable lugs, the contact in the connector is better, and the large, rigid conductors of the HC version are therefore easier and secure in the elevator terminals of the Furutech connectors. Without cable lugs, a tight fit cannot be guaranteed and the connector terminals could come loose or the thread of the screw could be damaged during assembly.
I used Furutech cable lugs for the HC cable. I insulated the bare cable lugs with shrink tubing.
