Filters and switches make different works, this is the reason why they can happily coexist in the same path to clean as much as possible the unwanted noise. At least this is an explanation provided by several manufacturers I spoke with.

Doubling filters may not be a good idea, it couldn’t be money well spent or worst the case degrading the sound quality. I tried a few of Pink Faun Lan Isolator, Waversa and Muon Pro and I didn’t like them together in the same path.

I was also told that even using 2 Muon Pros (before and after the Tempus) can be beneficial only in high resolving systems and with subtle improvements.

I guess a new Muon Pro will be launched sooner or later, maybe going fiber due to the SFP ports on the Tempus. My personal speculation.

The industry needs to focus more on the upstream part of the network, like the router and pre-switch path. Time will tell.

MSB is considering servers and network infrastructure too much complicated to deal with, due to fast technology development nowadays. We need more partnerships between specialized brands to make more R&D and realize innovative solutions.

Imagine a conference table with the best minds from Gryphon, Grimm, PS Audio, STEALTH, MSB, Network Acoustics, Innuos sitting around it, with Al in the middle saying, “Oh guys, what can we do to make this sound nicer?”

You have to get the MU2 from ADP. Sounds like he’s not going to enjoy that.

That seems to make sense with their new switch.

I received my Dragon source or should I say drug today. Plugged in and listening to music non-stop for 14 hours. There is still no sign of fatigue in sight. Put it in and enjoy.
Donald, you’re right, after installation it sounded cooler and a bit brighter for the first 2 hours. The longer the dragon is connected, the sweeter the sound becomes.
Ok, I thought about it, the switch also requires a Dragon. I’ve played through Carolin No’s album several times and the sound of Dragon and Furutech dps-4.1 is so captivating. Dragon expands the stage in width and the Furutech on power plant and mono power amplifiers add a lot of depth. Together this creates a three-dimensional soundscape with wonderful timbres. Like a big flower meadow. And no, no whiskey or drugs that were legalized in Germany this year. Today I’m on clouds and can hardly imagine that a power zone can improve this experience in my system even further. Don’t forget, I have had all my backups in Pinkmaster for 3 weeks.:rofl: Greetings Andreas

Now you enter the Dragon, you should know that two Dragons sound even better because they complement each other very well.

I know, but all audiophiles have inner evil in them. No, actually I mean to help others go to the next level.

I was waiting for the answer. I already wrote to the seller that he should reserve the kites for me.:see_no_evil: Unfortunately, Luca had already sold his while I was away from the forum. The question is what can Dream 20/20 do better at the power plant… I had read that this creates details but at the same time plays warm and physical. The Firebird does that too. Does no one use this? Mostly it’s about affordable tornadoes or hurricanes and then comes the Dragon. The Firebird somehow sinks.

Do not get Firebird, go with Dragon. Or just stay with Hurricane if you want to save money. Wait, you convinced me to get that ZenWave PSR-11, remember? That is my best cord, but one is enough for a system.

After three Dragons in the system, I did notice the system could sound too calm. So, if you are thinking about getting more in future, I will stop at three, no more. Ideally one HC plus one or two S. are the best combination, in my opinion.

I was also thinking about the Zenwave. In addition to the increased price, there are also postage and customs duties for me, so that the Dragon is cheaper for me as a good used one or even a Dream in Germany. I still have time. Maybe I’ll try Luca’s 3 month deadline rule  or was it 3 weeks :rofl: Ok, Saturday I’m going to an audio dealer’s summer party…maybe he has one to borrow to pass the time.

I agree with this after just selling my Firebird. A lot of cable science has to do with the application in my experience. The Dragon is good and good value when purchased right but I’ve learned there are much bigger fish in the sea.

Ich bin auch an großen Fischen interessiert.
Meinst du Stealth oder gibt es noch andere nach denen ich Ausschau halten sollte ?

Are you searching for a Dragon HC or Source? Three years ago I bought from a private a pair of second hand HC, 1 mt long, that I still have in a drawer collecting dust. Since I received them it appeared to me that are not original ones. So used them for my REL subs, or for secondary power strips. To my ears I never noticed a difference compared to my other brand new Dragons but I became OCD about cables (and not only), pretending to use in my system only certified units. Make me an offer at your choice, no matter if reasonable or not, and I ship them to you. I’m happy to get rid of stuff not in use, like IsoAcoustics Gaia and Orea, Furutech Boosters and PlugIn Cleaner, Matrix DDC, Intona USB filter and USB cables, Inakustic Ethernet cables…. it’s a long list I can’t remember.

In the very next weeks I could probably sell my Dragon Source (original of course) as soon as MSB launches the new I2S module that will allow me to use the PST via HDMI cable. If I like it, I’ll upgrade the power cord.

Dream 2020 vs Dragon HC? Naturalness without any sort of coloration vs best pleasant coloration ever heard. Easy peazy! It took me 3 minutes to decide what I prefer in my system.

Hope that helps.

Too bad your Dragon has the wrong head on it. Now you just pour cold water over it, I’m not sure anyone wants it anymore

Hello Luca, I didn’t notice everything and thought you had already replaced all the dragons. The Dream 20-20 seems to work well in your system and there is a step beyond that. The dragon appears to be a fallen fruit.

I still have 3 Dragon Sources, for the PST that is going to leave soon and for the analog rig (PSU of the TT and Phono Pre) that will stay longer in my system.

What type of HDMI cable will you use for PST?
