Trading the best closer in baseball for Heuer and Madrigal, who is done for the season with a hammy is outright theft by the Sox, care of our brainiac GM Hoyer. But after the Jimenez<->Q trade I’ve come to the conclusion the Sox FO must do some sort of Jedi mind trick on the Cubs FO. Outrageously bad deal for the Northside. Smoke out the owl’s ears in frustration right about now. Need to chill out with a nice, mellow LP methinks.

That trade deadline was not exactly fun for me as a baseball fan. Exciting? Absolutely. Exciting like being mugged in the city. It was as if the Dodgers could simply buy part, perhaps the entire AL or NL All-Star team – and right around the midway point of the second half. Granted, it just happened to be a good year for contracts (if you’re a Dodger’s fan).

Prost!

What size do you wear?

BAHAHA!

I like a few of their players, but hope SF (or the even more unlikely Padres) take the NL West.

Go Rockies? The most miserable of all fans.

Kershaw has always been pure class, even when he is striking out your team’s side

I’m a big Mookie fan. And Walker.

…I could do this for nearly every team. Huge baseball-holic.

Well I’m a Giants fan who grew up in Oakland. I don’t like any of those guys and I have a closet full of those shirts!

Nutty crosstown game today. Amazing how these games are almost always good…and better when the Southside wins.

I like the first half of your sentence (as clipped and copied above).

The second half…no so much.

Good luck tomorrow.

Let’s go Astros!!!

You are playing the 3rd stringers now.

Crosstown…17 strikeouts. I have a very long running $2 per game and double Cubs/Sox games bet. I have lost money for a long time, not likely this year.

Phils > Mets apparently.

Field of Dreams game is tomorrow! CWS vs. NYY in a cornfield in Iowa. Pumped.

That horrible call in SF a couple of days ago! Tragic.

Two grand slams for Boston today was impressive and a post-season first.

My hope is for a Dodgers v. Sox WS…subject to change at a moments notice.

I dunno…I watched the replay and thought he offered at the pitch. (Assuming that was the call you were referring to.)

Check swings have got to be the most inconsistently called thing in baseball (not counting the strike zone! )

As a long-suffering Cubs fan, I would like to see Schwarbs get another ring.

That’s the one. As they said in the broadcast, and really I didn’t have a horse in the race, “it wasn’t even close”.

Yes, horrible call to end a great game and series.

Hoping for a Dodgers-Astros series. That could get spicy, still some bad blood between them

I’m with you about Schwarbs. It would be awesome for him to earn another ring. What he did after a horrid season ending injury coming off the bench during the 2016 WS will be remembered by Cubs fans forever. Ah well, it’s on to Bears football and Blackhawks hockey. And watching the moves Jed makes in the off-season.

Schwarbs just clobbered a slammer in the 2nd for the Red Sox. Heating up big time. Some guys just eat up post season play. My, my.
