Galen alluded to That with his T+A amps too. Perhaps explains his power cord perceptions. He can’t measure it nor hear it with what he tests with. Our paradigms are acquired by our experience.
It may, perhaps, also be what in psychology is called “perceptual set.”
A perceptual set refers to a predisposition to perceive things in a certain way . In other words, we often tend to notice only certain aspects of an object or situation while ignoring other details.
Yes, but we need to remember all forms of expectation bias go both ways. Those who want to hear an improvement may do so; those who do not want to hear, don’t.
Yes, that’s known as cognitive bias. Also called psychological bias. An example would be to subconsciously make selective use of data. It’s all interrelated.
Yes. I had my system where everything sounded great even the poorer recordings. The last set of power cord RF wrappings of an antenna drain shield to the DS DAC power cord is ever more so magical but the recordings with warts now show them better too. But still enjoyable. The most notable is vowel and consonant annunciations made every lyric interpretation dead accurate, the bass hits you better and a saxophone valves click and reed vibrates as never before.
But question now is what is best. Does one go further so they only love audiophile recordings or leave it be? Or go back to what it was?
The answer to that question is what most of us are looking for. Unfortunately there is no right answer.
Or maybe every answer is right
@rower30 Hello Galen, it’s 2022, you were going to tell us about your new product after the lawyers completed their patent work over the break. We are of course dying of curiosity
Yes, I have a note sent in to see when the provisional is submitted…but all the mounds of paperwork on my end are completed. Our provisional is pretty “complete” but you have 12 months to get it to final form. Sometimes provisional are pretty skimpy.
I’ll let everyone know but HOW is the harder part. Since this is not what we are used to seeing it may be harder to grasp for some. But it is how ALL cable works. I just made them work better for out hobby frequencies.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, se we’ll start there. But of course I could put a picture of an equation up there!
Best,
Galen

Peeked in your window this morning and took a snap.
YES! That’s pretty much it in there somewhere. You figured it all out already.
Best,
Galen
Don’t be mixing up the numbers and the letters. They don’t belong on the same page. Numbers is math and letters is writing.
Just sayin’
Ah. Arrived.
Just spent 15 minutes installing these cables. They are somewhat hefty!
Just noticed I’m hearing music, not hifi.
Thank you, Galen!
Hey Arenith…which cable type did you receive from Iconoclast?
Thanks
Best wishes
Now that you made that public, we can just make our own cables!
Wouldn’t that be theft of intellectual property and copy right?

I already do for everything but my main rig.
TPC.
System:
Amp: Electrocompaniet ECI-1
DAC: Electrocompaniet PD-1
Speakers: Audio Physic Tempo IV
Turntable: “Relatively cheap Sony” equipped with Goldring E3
Good enough interconnects!
Thanks but did you get ic xlrs or rca…or speaker cables …
Hard to figure out …unless you mean the entire loom…
Best wishes
Oh, right. TPC speaker cables.
Okay now we can capiche…
