I have tried out Galen’s interconnects and find them excellent.
Do they have a room? If so, please let everyone know where thew room is located.
Paul, thank you so very much for your help and support. You have truly been a friend to Galen and to Iconoclast. We do not have a room at Axpona. This is more of a meet and great for the tribe who plan to attend. Galen will look for options and post where to meet. I’m going to ask him to track you down for a big hand shake! I know you will be busy with your team and customers but none-the-less, you have helped us immensely. I have just read your emails and book suggestions. Again, thank you.
No worries and let us know how we can help. I support Galen and his efforts and will continue to do so wherever and whenever I can.
Just put in the final 4x4 XLR OFEs to make a full loom on the analog side. With each cable change I could hear a noticeable decrease in smear and increased separation. Iconoclast is for real. I also am trying the SPTPC speaker cables after listening to the TPC cables for several months. So far, it’s like enjoying a good Honeycrisp vs a Red Delicious apple! The detail has taken on a new level and fullness throughout. I think they are all keepers and my watch has ended for the foreseeable future. Excellent company as well, enjoyed talking to Bob on the phone the other day. Could not ask for more from them- the pinnacle of quality and service. Kudos gentlemen-
Bassaholic,
Enjoy yourself! This is why iconoclast exists, to be heard. The designs had to make ME happy, and the designs and decisions were all structured to that end. It may appear odd, but sales and marketing were not part of iconoclast, only I was. The cables had to be better in every verifiable way, for me.
Can a product like cable sell, with marketing, that is sold based on what it REALLY is, how it is really made and why it is made that way? If you are like me, and do as I do, spending more on products that are truly best in class efforts to be better, and truly show that effort are worth the time to evaluate. Trust but verify comes to mind. It did mine.
I know that this is, “just cable”, and I hope ICONOCLAST shows just what that can be if the actual critical attributes to sound are strictly adhered to. I have to SHOW YOU how it all works, the story has to be real, it has to be real to ME, the original customer.
None of the calculations and measurements are supposed to be important in our hobby. Magic materials and theory are. I decided, no, physics matter and ANY good sounding cable made on purpose or by accident has to raise the bar to known standards BEFORE anything else could matter and yes, that makes it way harder to make cable.
Cables that enhance every aspect of known measure, and try to balance every attribute to enhance every other critical aspect do indeed work better. No magic, no sales, no marketing can beat that story. It is enjoyable to sell truly good stuff.
Can this improve how cable is made and sold? Will consumers get a fair shake on what they are buying with supporting data? I don’t know, no one else really does it like this. It is the only way I’ll do it. Stories and new theory fad away, but the physics built into the product won’t. Get that right and you are always right. I want to be right, and I know you do, too. Your time is valuable either at work or play. I hope ICONOCLAST presents a very valid set of measures and calculations that resonate unlike what you are used to.
Sound designs create sound performance.
See you at AXPONA, I have samples to show you what is inside your cables. Physics is beautiful and remarkable.

Well said! A wonderful phrase.
Galen,
Thanks so much for your response and efforts to bring us a great product, designed on firm scientific theory and honesty. Your cables show your love for the hobby. I will continue to be an ambassador for your wire children and spread the word of their magic.
Thank you very much for the kind words Carl!! Enjoy the SPTPC speaker leads. There is nothing else like them.
Hi Galen,
While the ICONOCLAST speaker cables are well outside of my discretionary toy budget these days, I none the less want to extend thanks to you, especially for sharing the information and your opinion on the 1313A and 5T00UP budget-friendly options from Belden.
I’ve long used Transparent Audio HP4-14 (?) speaker cable to connect my B&W Matrix 804’s and HTM to either my Anthem MRX-300 receiver or Meridian Audio 558 amp.
From following this thread and what I’ve learned here, I decided to give the Belden 5T00UP a chance in my system. For ease of connection, I opted for bare wire connections and also bi-wired the B&W’s to my Meridian amp, which provides two output binding post pairs per channel, making this a trivial exercise.
Frankly, I was stunned by the difference I heard in my now 20 year old B&Ws! What stood out to me was a vast improvement in low-level details that I could now hear. I liken it to giving my windows (or glasses) a good cleaning. Everything is just more clear and delineated. For the $40-ish dollars and small amount of time this experiment cost me, I’m simply blown away.
Perhaps someday I’ll be able to play in the realm of ICONOCLAST, but for now I’m one happy camper.
Thank you,
Dan W.
Dan W.,
Yes, good quality legacy leads work well too…no one said they were ever “bad” at all. A GTI is good, a Boxter is better and a Ferrari better yet. But all cars are enjoyable as they are quality at their price points and value targets. Yep, it cost a LOT more to improve as you go up, but the proper set-up can leverage that when other options are reached.
The Bi-wire helps remove the bass current from the mid and treble section, so if you haven’t done that before…it helps. This may be most of what you hear, and 14 AWG may be too small to really help your amps damping factor be optimal as well. Not a fault of the lead per say, but the APPLICATION of the lead… The B&W are really bi-wire at their best based on tribal user posts on them, and you amps damping factor seems to need a lower DCR to really work would be my honest initial observations. Better is better, and you got better.
There is noting wrong with researching and getting the best you can at each value level. That is what makes the hobby fun. If you enjoy music, you’re in the club!
Best

Hey everyone,
Suggest we congregate in the PS Audio hallway at noon. I’ll bring the cable samples and we can go somewhere and talk about what we see.
Comment?
Galen
Excellent idea. Have fun!
Wish that I was there.
Hi @wglenn and @BobBJC was wondering about the BAV RCA I tried looking on BJC and Belden sites for it and could not find it unless it goes by a different name. Are you guys still planning on putting it up on the iconoclast site, I saw mention that you would soon in early March. I need 5 lengths of it for 2 for oppo to pre using home theater bypass and 3 for oppo direct to amp.
Thanks,
Veneet
Still waiting availability on the BAV RCA cable. Only XLR on hand. It should not be long now. I will check on it first of the week to see what I can learn.
Awesome, thank you!
Working on it. When I get back I will send my shop spool to blue jeans. We love you man!
Galen
Galen,
I can truly say that speaking for myself and many others here, we love you too!
We all appreciate the passion, honesty and quality that you, Bob, Kurt and Will bring with your products and your one-on-one approach to dealing with all of us.
I look forward to talking with you more, and hope to meet you maybe at the next AXPONA or something in-between.
Best regards,
Veneet
Hey crew,
My WAF situation is that I need to get ONE system in the basement! Not sure why a set of Dynaudio C4 Signatures and Velodydne DD10+ subs in the closet now and again bothers her.
I have these in the for sale area, but a heads-up as I need to sell the Gloss Rosewood C4’s $11,00 and Rose Cherry Velodyne DD10+ subs $3,200.00.
I reduced the price on the C4 based on price history.
I’m in Ohio, and would love to deliver myself and help with your set-up. Even better, the price includes STPC ICONOCLAST speaker cables with the C4’s and TPC RCA with the Velodyne DD10+ subs.
The two items were used for development and are in excellent shape. No pets near them or smoke.
